Students have previous knowledge related to calculating the distance traveled by a object and the duration of the object’s movement.

After completing the activities proposed in this teaching scenario, students are expected to have achieved the following objectives:

To identfy the physical qantities involved in the speed definition formula

To compare the speed of some bodies

To order the the speeds according to their size

To solve problem-situation through physics-specific methods

To use various digital tools and applications in conducting the lesson

DESCRIPTION 

The pedagogical methods used are: conversation, explanation, problematization, modeling, exercise for the students to construct their own knowledge upon the foundation of previous learning.

The teacher shows the students boards with means of transport. They are tasked to identify those used by people in the past and present.

Is definite the speed and its formula. The students will indicate the physical quantities involved in the formula and the units if measure in which the speed can be expressed.   

 The students will associate means of transport with corresponding speed values and order these means of transport according their speeds.

The WOW-HI Educational On-line Platform will offer special material for pupils to learn. This will be used for: identifying Aurel Vlaicu Street, reading and hearing information about it.

In order to fix the knowledge of the students an printed worksheet will be distributed to the students.

The worksheet consists three activities: 

ACTIVITY I: to identify  means of transport and their speed

ACTICITY II: to learn about Aurel Vlaicu and about his inventions.

ACTIVITY III: to solve a problem using the model of Aurel Vlaicu street  as concerete support.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 

Students with mild and moderate mental disabilities in the 7th grade are generally familiar with the use of ICT equipment and material resources used in the lesson.

The time provided in the lesson project can be adjusted during the course of the lesson, in accordance with the needs of each student, in order to complete the set tasks

ATTENTION TO DIVERSITY 

The activity is adapted to the characteristics of students with SEN.

During the lesson, the students will be supported in using the applications, in solving the tasks, with additional explanations individually
